WILFRID LAURIER UNIVERSITY

From its roots as a small Lutheran seminary more than a century ago, Wilfrid Laurier University has grown into a multi-campus, comprehensive university known for its academic excellence and global reach.

The university has campuses in Waterloo and Brantford, locations in Kitchener and Toronto, a research office in Yellowknife and a presence in Milton. But even as it grows, Laurier has kept its small-campus feel and community-minded, student-centred approach.

At Laurier, learning goes beyond the classroom. A combination of innovative programming and hands-on experiences means students graduate both ready for the future and inspired to make a difference.

Laurier’s Waterloo campus offers a broad range of full- and part-time graduate and undergraduate degree programs through seven faculties

Social Work
Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
Lazaridis School of Business and Economics

Laurier’s nearby Brantford campus offers innovative graduate and undergraduate programming through the faculties of Human and Social Sciences and Liberal Arts. The campus is also home to programs in social work and business technology management, and offers several programs and certificates in partnership with Conestoga College.

Laurier’s research strengths address current issues of societal importance, including the environment; governance and policy; health and well-being; culture and society; and economics, markets and management. Faculty members have won major research awards and many hold prestigious positions, including as Canada Research Chairs and Royal Society of Canada fellows.
